Wafer: Wafer topper are firm and are best used on cupcakes with piped buttercream they will stay firm for 2-3 days.
Fondant: Fondant toppers are cut from an icing sheet which is soft so these are best placed on cupcakes with a thin/flat layer of buttercream.
